GuGu (chinese term for Aunt) ...I like Public Holidays and Windy days ... my little five-year-old nephew, Bruce said last Saturday.

Why?

With a cheeky smile ..

Because I can rest on Public Holidays.

And on Windy days, I can blow my hair!

Such simple delights that I have forgotten!

Chinese New Year. We were doing the usual visiting to my Grandma's place with my brother's family. Bruce, my younger nephew, was playing the playstation belong to my cousin at Grandma's.

He played against his elder brother in Street Fighters. This game that required control of different combinations of attack buttons was quite a lot for the five-year-old to manage. He was knocked out by his brother almost instantaneously.

As I observed the unfair game, I asked my cousin ..

"Hey, do you have some baby games so Bruce can handle?"

"Baby games? Let me check ..." my cousin began to look through the drawer containing a variety of games.

I noticed Bruce dropping the game control and sitting quietly with a grumpy face.

After a while he said, "I am not a Baby!I am not a Small Boy! I am a Big Boy now!"

Sensing his displeasure of being "graded" a baby, "Ok, Ok, Bruce Bruce is a Big Boy now. Let's just play Street Fighters!"

He grabbed the game set back gleefully and continued played ... losing.

He would rather Lose with Integrity .. Then to Win with Shame. My Ah Bruce!

Mellowed Love

My Starhub plan was due to continue. I already got my Nokia 7390 from AungAung's M1 plan just a few days ago. Hence, used my plan to get a new phone for Dad for only $38 with a 2yr contract. Nokia 6070 that comes with a VGA camera.

It's the first mobile my dad has that comes witha a camera . The wall paper on daddy's old phone used to be that of Bruce's pictures that we (me or sis) have taken using our phones and then infra to his phone. On Sunday, when mum and dad were testing the new phone, they were like kids taking pictures of each other. They finally decided that they wanted to take a picture of the two of them to put on the wall paper so that daddy can show off his "girl-friend" to his colleagues.

Alas the VGA camera was simply disappointing. All pictures turned up somewhat blurred. Leaving the two of them somewhat dejected.

It was then that I suggested using my phone to take a pic or take one of the photos they took during their vacations and infra to them.

Jubilantly, my mum put on some lip stick and pa combed his hair to take a few shots.

"Not nice la ... look so stiff!"

"Look through the photos of our China trip and find one for us!"

............

Two hours later. After rumaging through all pictures on my lap top. This picture now hangs as the wall paper of my papa's hp.

... with their approval of course!
