I am now reading The 8th Habit by Stephen Covey. Just as enlightening as his earlier work The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People.

Dr Covey highlighted the Five Cancerous Behaviours that we should avoid at all cost. As they only bring harm to oneself and to others:

* Criticising

* Complaining

* Comparing

* Contending

* Competing

It is true that one often falls victim to the above behaviors. It is even more true that such behaviours bring benefit to no one at all.

Maybe it is the stress that everyone faces in today's society. All of us are required to multi-task. Stretching ourselves to the thinnest possible. It is said that one can see another's true character at difficult times. For example, when one is blindly accused or taken advantage of. For it is during such times the it is easiest for one to snap and fall into one of the above behaviours.

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-06-20T06:50:42Z</dcterms:modified>
